Having embarked on her dance journey at the age of 4 in Toowoomba, Queensland, Taylor has undergone extensive training in various genres. Her classical ballet training includes mastering the RAD syllabus, completing all grades and majors up to Advanced 2. Additionally, Taylor delved into contemporary dance, achieving excellence in CSTD Jason Winter’s Syllabus levels 1–4, clinching the highest mark in Queensland for her level 4 exam.
Taylor's dance repertoire extends to SFD Jazz Syllabus, tap, hip hop, commercial jazz, musical theatre, and drama. After graduating from high school, Taylor ventured to Sydney, where she pursued a Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance) with Sydney Dance Company’s Pre-Professional Year in 2018. During her time in Sydney, Taylor engaged in week-long workshops, participated in choreographic developments with renowned artists, and performed in various projects, including a Breath Art Installation work by Sydney Contemporary artist Meg O’Callaghan and a film project by Sue Healey titled "Narrabeen." She also collaborated in creating contemporary dance works with established choreographers and performed Sydney Dance Company repertoire by Artistic Director Rafael Bonachela.
In 2019, Taylor expanded her skill set by completing a certificate in Nutrition (introductory course) while independently working as a dancer on project-based performances in Brisbane. Her academic pursuits continued with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance Performance) at Queensland University of Technology, successfully completed in 2021.
Eager to share her knowledge and continue growing as a dance educator, Taylor is thrilled to be a part of the ELS team in 2022 and beyond.
