Emma Scott, the visionary behind ELS School of Dance, is a classically-trained ballet dancer who embarked on her journey in the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus at the tender age of four.
Beyond her ballet roots, Emma discovered a fervour for contemporary dance, leading her to showcase her talents in the Tasmanian Tour with Tas Dance in 2010. Emma's dedication to her craft continued as she honed her skills under the tutelage of Jason Coleman at The Ministry of Dance, covering a diverse range of styles such as ballet, contemporary, jazz, cheerleading, lyrical, hip-hop, commercial jazz, musical theatre, and acting. In 2014, she graduated as a professional dancer, holding a certificate IV in Dance and a Diploma in Dance/Elite Performance.
Emma's passion for dance extends beyond her performances, driving her to become a dedicated teacher. Her teaching journey spans various schools across Melbourne, Victoria, and Tasmania, encompassing classes and workshops for students ranging from toddlers to adults.
Founded in 2016, ELS School of Dance is Emma's brainchild—a space designed to be inclusive and insightful. Her goal is to provide a welcoming environment for everyone, irrespective of their life experiences or aspirations. Through ELS School of Dance, Emma aims to share the same joy and passion for dance that has enriched her life with a broader community.
