Nathan is a highly experienced acrobat, aerialist, and educator with a passion for developing strong, confident movers. His journey began young — while other kids played sport, Nathan was usually upside down, cartwheeling or flipping on the sidelines.
At age 11, he joined the Flying Fruit Fly Circus School, where he trained for seven years and developed a strong foundation in tumbling and acrobatics, later specialising in aerial skills, particularly cloud swing. Alongside his training, Nathan completed Flying Fruit Fly’s teacher development program, gaining early experience teaching students of all ages and abilities — a skill set that continues to shape his coaching today.
Nathan began his professional career as part of the development and premiere cast of King Kong Live on Stage in 2013 before taking his training internationally. He was accepted into École Nationale de Cirque in Montreal, Canada’s national circus school, where he trained for four years and graduated in 2018 with a Diploma of Circus Studies.
Since then, Nathan has performed internationally across the USA and Russia, including with Cirque en Vol and at the International Circus Festival in Izhevsk, where he received a prize from the Moscow Circus School.
Today, Nathan balances high-level performance with teaching. He is a current educator in the Bachelor program at the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) in Melbourne and brings that same professional standard, care, and attention to detail into every class he teaches. Nathan is passionate about creating safe, supportive environments where students can build strength, skill, and confidence — and discover just how capable they really are.
