Miss Kat’s journey as a dancer commenced at the age of 3, training at Emerald Academy of dance in Emerald, QLD until the age of 19. Katarina’s extensive training includes Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Ballet, Contemporary, and Musical Theatre.
Katarina worked as a teaching assistant at her dance school growing up, gaining qualifications as an assistant and silver level teacher in the Ready Set Dance syllabus, assisting with competition groups and solos/duos/trios, before beginning to teach her own classes once reaching the age of 18. She is very grateful for the opportunities and knowledge given to her by her teachers and mentors.
Katarina moved to Melbourne to pursue a career as a dancer/dance teacher, training full time in the Performing Arts course at Transit Dance. Over the past 2 years here in Melbourne, Miss Kat has developed a deep love and respect for nurturing students passion in Dance, and wishes to encourage her students creative expression and individuality.
She believes each learner has their own very special set of strengths and gifts they can share with the world, and is passionate about nurturing this through individualised learning strategies in the classroom.
