Tenae is a contemporary-trained dancer, teacher, choreographer, and producer with experience across Australia, New Zealand, Wales, and Europe.
They completed their training at Transit Dance in 2019, earning a Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance) and a Certificate IV in Dance Teaching & Management. Since graduating, Tenae has undertaken professional development with Sydney Dance Company, Tasdance, Footnote New Zealand, Yellow Wheel Youth Dance Company, Babel Theatre, and B12 Berlin. Her performance credits include First Floor (Tasdance), Multitud (Tama Cubas), Sincerely, Survivor (Grace Dance Company), and Us And All Of This (Liesel Zink).
Tenae is also a practicing independent artist and co-founder of CoExist Collective (2019). Through CoExist and other projects, she has facilitated creative developments and performances, curated opportunities for emerging artists, and produced events with a focus on community connection and sustainability.
Their teaching ethos prioritises creating a safe, supportive space where students can explore creativity, foster community, and develop a love of movement. Tenae aims to guide students in discovering their own creative pathways while building inclusive and resilient dance environments.
